CLDF in the news
One of CLDF’s key aims is to help raise awareness of childhood liver disease and the work of the Foundation. To help us achieve this aim we work with families who are willing to share their story of living with childhood liver disease by regularly preparing press releases which we distribute to the media. On average we issue around 100 news releases each year. These often celebrate children’s birthdays, sporting and academic success, transplant anniversaries and fundraising activity. (To view our press releases click here) Coverage in the media helps to raise awareness, which in turn may help raise extra funds for our research, education and support programmes. CLDF's has a large number of press cuttings books filled with the coverage acheived - these are displayed at the annual conference each year. Can you help CLDF raise awareness? Stories need to be about real families with real experiences of living with childhood liver disease. We cannot manufacture them and rely on families to share their story. If you are a family of a child with liver disease, or a young person with a liver disease and would like to share your story, you can become one of our ‘publicity families’. We need families who are willing to take part in features in the local and national press, magazines, TV and radio in the future. Please contact CLDF’s communications officer on 0121 212 6012 for more information or email communications@childliverdisease.org for a copy of our family publicity questionnaire.
