Annual Conference | Annual Conference 2007
Annual Conference 2007
CLDF’s annual conference, which took place on Saturday 6 October at the National Motorcycle Museum near Solihull, was a great success with over 130 delegates attending. The parent and patient speakers gave heart-warming talks about their experiences of living with childhood liver disease, whilst some of the leading experts in the field presented updates on a range of subjects including living related transplants, managing ascites and itch, and treatment for AILD. The day concluded with the popular ‘question time’ session which as ever made the panel of experts quake in their boots! Another highlight of the day was Mick Walker, ‘Grand Primo’ of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) during 2006 who, along with other RAOB members, presented CLDF with a cheque for the fantastic sum of £33,306.64. Parent Joanne Hardwick presented a special CLDF certificate to thank all the RAOB members for their fundraising efforts during 2006 after Mick chose CLDF as his charity of the year appeal. Thanks to everyone who supported the event.
