About the education tab

One of CLDF's key functions is to help educate healthcare professionals, families and the general public about childhood liver disease.

The education tab contains information about the liver, what functions it performs, what can go wrong, and a list of the various liver diseases which can affect children.

The tab also features details on CLDF's education programme which is helping to educate healthcare professionals about childhood liver disease (including the study day programme) and also details about CLDF's prolonged jaundice awareness campaign, 'Yellow Alert'.

CLDF has an active programme of writing new literature for family members and healthcare professionals as well as updating existing information.   You can find details of the literature available (including CLDF's support, medical and nutrition series') under the publications tab.

(CLDF does not publish all information on the internet as it is impossible to know the age of the person viewing it, their background or previous knowledge. We believe that this crucial information, some of which can be distressing, should back up a discussion where the family's concerns are identified to ascertain their full information needs).
