Jaundice

Jaundice is not a liver disease, it is a sign that the liver is not working properly.  Many liver diseases can be accompanied by jaundice. However you can have a liver disease without jaundice.

If you have a newborn baby with jaundice see the 'Yellow Alert' section for more information.

If your child is jaundiced (either all the time or intermittently) we would advise you to see your doctor.
