About 'Help CLDF' tab | Ambassador Scheme

Ambassador Scheme

We are looking for people from all over the country who can champion CLDF in their local area and help raise awareness of childhood liver disease.  CLDF’s message can only reach a wider audience with the help of our families and supporters.

What is a ‘CLDF Ambassador’?
• A local ‘champion’ of CLDF who can raise awareness of childhood liver disease in their community and of the fact that there is one organization dedicated to stamping it out – the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.  Few people are aware of the extent of childhood liver disease in this country and your help and experiences would be invaluable in helping to raise the profile.
• CLDF needs you to be the face of the organization to the public in the areas where you live and work.  You may also be happy to be someone who can be called on by other ‘Ambassadors’ and supporters, and the office team to represent CLDF on a regional level, thus greatly expanding CLDF’s reach.
• Someone who may help raise vital funds towards the fight against childhood liver disease either directly through their own endeavours or by approaching others in their area.

Please note - Ambassadors are not required or expected to befriend or run support groups for other CLDF families in the area.

There are no specific requirements of an Ambassador – how much you get involved is up to you and will depend on how much time you can give and your skills.  Your passion for and commitment to the cause are most important and this is what will make the Ambassadors network a success.  The office team are also here to help wherever they can.

A word from a CLDF Abassador:

Liz Beamish, whose son Daniel has biliary atresia:
“I was worried about the time commitment as Daniel’s only one and I also work, but  the scheme’s very flexible.  I’d been busy promoting buy.at/CLDF, Christmas cards and Pennies From Heaven boxes, and had also organised a fundraising ‘ladies evening’ for some friends.  I realised that these are all things an ambassador does, and decided I’d like to do this as part of a nationwide group.”
