Outward Bound Weekend
If the idea of completing a parachute jump isn't for you, then why not consider taking part in an Outward Bound activity as part of a residential corporate team-building weekend, whilst also helping to raise funds for Children's Liver Disease Foundation?
Participants will be able to choose from a choice of three idyllic centres located in North Wales, the Lake District or the Scottish Highlands. As part of a team of 8 you will be asked to arrive at your chosen centre on a Friday night, where you will familiarise yourself with the accommodation and relax with your team members. On Saturday and Sunday you will take part in a wide variety of fun and exciting mental and physical challengers including water activities such as kayaking or even 'gorge walking', high impact activities such as high ropes courses, zip wires and 'the Trapeze' and timed mental exercise challenges. Points will be awarded for each of the activities and will be used in the final challenge to purchase equipment for the team to build a raft to transport all 8 members down a predetermined watercourse.
Each person in the team will be required to raise £375 in sponsorship money making a total of £3000, of which CLDF will receive an average donation of £1480. You may find that your company will pay the booking deposit or even match your fundraising efforts pound for pound. By raising the minimum amount your team will be able to take part in the challenge free and every extra pound raised will be donated to CLDF, which is why we encourage our supporters to raise as much as they can.
Please note that all accommodation, food and equipment are provided and no previous experience is required.
