Do something simple!

Support CLDF with a healthy, hearty dinner party! Having friends over for dinner is fun. Now you can use this new website to handle invitations, the menu and donations, making it easy for your guests to support CLDF’s vital work at the same time.

A group could host dinners over a number of weeks or have a course at each others house on one night. You could even pick a country’s cuisine to represent and host a culinary tour of the globe!

Visit www.dinner4good.com/CLDF to organise your dinner party now.

Waitrose Community Matters is a wonderful scheme designed to put a share of Waitrose profits back into local communities. Three local charities or causes are supported each month. Each branch gives £1000 per month which is divided proportionally between the three nominated causes.

To nominate CLDF, pick up a nomination form from the customer service welcome desk at your local branch.

For information or help with the form, please call 0121 212 6022 or email fundraising@childliverdisease.org

Quids for kids

To date we have raised more the £30,000 with these little boxes!

Small change, big difference. Having a 'Quids for kids' coin collection box in your home is a quick, easy and effective way to raise money for CLDF. These boxes are also a great way to get children involved in fundraising. You'll be amazed how quickly they fill up!

When your box is full empty it, count the money and deposit it into your bank and send us a cheque. If you need a new box, just let us know and we'll post one to you. Why not ask your family and friends to have a box in their home? As everybody knows, pennies make pounds.

Click here to request your box.

Mobile Phone Recycling

Most mobile phones can be reused, refurbished or recycled. CLDF can turn your old mobile phone into funds to help fight childhood liver disease. Each donated phone could raise up to £50!

It is estimated that over 15 million mobile phones are discarded in the UK each year, just 10% of these mobiles are recycled. Simply send your old phone to us and a specialist recycling company will reuse, refurbish or recycle your phone raising vital funds for CLDF.

We have teamed up with mobile phone recycling company ShP solutions to offer a recycling service which will help raise funds for CLDF.

We have freepost envelopes available for you to despatch your old mobile. If you have ten or more phones we can arrange a free courier collection – so why not ask friends, family or ask your workplace to also take part.

Call 0121 212 6022 to order your envelopes

  • Remove the SIM card from your phone
  • Place the phone in an the special freepost envelope
  • Seal the envelop and post it using the freepost address
  • If you have ten or more handsets, call ShP on 0207 288 6535 to arrange a collection

To download a poster on the scheme click here.  Maybe you could display it at your place of work or at a club you attend?

For any queries regarding the scheme, please call 0121 212 6022 or email us.

Online Fundraising

Make these small differences in the way you use the web, and make a big difference to the thousands of families living with liver disease.

1 www.Justgiving.com

Justgiving.com - the easy and efficient way to promote your fundraising event and increase the funds you raise. Simply set up your own online fundraising webpage. To read a quick guide click here

2 Ebay for charity

Selling unwanted items and gifts on ebay is a great way to de-clutter, and raise vital funds for CLDF.

eBay has partnered with MissionFish, a not for profit service provider, to create the eBay for Charity fundraising programme which makes it easy for charities to benefit from trading on eBay. While listing an item on eBay you can choose to donate a percentage, or all, of your item's final selling price to CLDF. Your item will feature a charity ribbon, our name and logo and the percentage you are donating so that buyers know that they are supporting a worthy cause.  Once your auction has ended, your donation will automatically be processed for you.

To set up an auction for CLDF:

1. Visit http://www.ebay.co.uk/ebay-for-charity
2. Register for your eBay and MissionFish seller accounts
3. Choose an item to sell
4. Write an item title and description
5. List your item on eBay and indicate that it will benefit CLDF
6. Complete your transaction - MissionFish will collect your donation, claim Gift Aid (if you declared) and pass both on to us

If you have any questions on setting up an auction please call 0121 212 6022 to speak to a member of CLDF’s fundraising team.
