Recycling mobile phones
CLDF can now turn your old mobile phone into funds to help fight childhood liver disease and each donated phone could raise up to £50!
Did you know that most mobile phones can be reused, refurbished or recycled? It is estimated that over 15 million mobile phones are discarded in the UK each year and only 10% of these mobiles are recycled. This is extremely damaging to the environment, when by simply sending your old phone to a specialist recycling company your old phone would be reused, refurbished or recycled in the right way and could also make funds for charity. We have teamed up with mobile phone recycling company ShP solutions to offer a recycling service which will help raise funds for CLDF. Each mobile phone that SHP receives from our supporters will raise money for CLDF. This will be based on the model and condition of the phone and could raise up to £50 per phone. We have special freepost envelopes available for you to despatch your old mobile and if you have ten or more phones we can arrange a free courier collection – so why not ask friends, family or ask your workplace to also take part. As of January 2007, this scheme had raised over £550 for CLDF! All you have to do is · Call 0121 212 6022 to order your envelopes · Remove the SIM card from your phone · Place the phone in an the special freepost envelope · Seal the envelop and post it using the freepost address · If you have ten or more handsets, call ShP on 0207 288 6535 to arrange a collection To download a poster on the scheme click here. Maybe you could display it at your place of work or at a club you attend? For any queries regarding the scheme, please call 0121 212 6022 or email us.
