Recycling Laser & Inkjet Cartridges
You can now raise funds to help fight childhood liver disease by recycling your used laser toners and ink-jet cartridges. The scheme is completely FREE and works in conjunction with recycling company Accutecc UK Ltd. The campaign has so far raised over £20,000 towards CLDF’s vital work. By participating you can make a real difference to thousands of families, while also reducing the number of cartridges put into landfill sites, which can be as many as 6 million a year! There are two ways that you, family, friends and work can be involved: Postal Scheme - Ink jet cartridges can be placed in our pre-paid envelopes and popped in the post. Any recycling value will be placed on the CLDF account and we will be paid monthly for all the cartridges received in this way. Click here to request recycling envelopes. If you work somewhere with a lot of ink jet machines, we can provide each department with envelopes. Please note that Epson ink jets are not accepted. Collection Scheme - For anyone with large amounts of ink jet cartridges and laser toners, a free service is available in association with Accutecc. The cartridges will be picked up within 2-3 working days between 9 and 5. Toners can be bound together or Accutecc can provide a free collection box. Click here to request an information pack. We will know which organisation/individual has made the donation and the exact amount so we will be able to write to you directly and thank you for your donation. Some types of cartridge are easier to recycle than others e.g. Hewlett Packard, Canon and Lexmark to name but a few. The value will be dependent on the number of cartridges in circulation and therefore varies from month to month. We can supply an up to date list. Click here to send an e-mail to request a list. Please note that in order to receive a payment, the collection must value at least £10. How does CLDF get the money? At the time of arranging a collection, Accutecc will check that the money is to be donated to the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. Envelopes are coded to indicate CLDF. Accutecc send the money to CLDF on a monthly basis and give us a list of collections and their value. We will write to you and send a receipt. Please note, if you send your collections via the envelope scheme then we will not be able to identify the donor and won’t be able to send you an acknowledgement.
