About 'Help CLDF' tab | Run for CLDF | Great North Run

**2008 Golden Bond places still available!**

The Great North Run is the world's biggest half marathon.

The first race took place in June 1981 and since then hundreds of thousands of people have taken part.  The race is broadcast live on the BBC each year.

The Great North Run is a key fundraising event for CLDF and we welcome anyone who wishes to raise funds, either by running with their own place or by applying for one of CLDF's limited number of guaranteed 'Golden Bond' places.

We ask those interested in running for CLDF to apply for a place in the race ballot which runs in February each year.  Those who are unsuccessful can then apply for a Golden Bond place.

We offer lots of fundraising and publicity support, plus T-shirt or running vest for all who particpate in this popular event on behalf of CLDF.

We also have special 'cheering packs' which are perfect for family and friends to use around the course to cheer you on and get CLDF noticed!

The complimentary pack includes:

·   CLDF t-shirt

·   Pair of cheering sticks

·   Cheering signs for your special message of support

Your pack comes in a choice of a CLDF cotton shoulder bag or a nylon sports bag.

To register your interest in running the Great North Run for CLDF in the future,  please contact the fundraising department on 0121 212 6022 or send an email.
