Great North Run 2006

Bupa Great North Run  - Sunday 1st October 2006

Congratulations to the twenty seven runners who completed the BUPA Great North Run half marathon in Newcastle on Sunday 1st October.  The day was warmer than expected but spectators helped by spraying water from bus shelters to keep the runners refreshed! Children also handed out orange segments and pensioners distributed biscuits to spur the runners on. 

So far the tremendous efforts of the CLDF runners have raised over £14,000 for CLDF (excluding gift aid!)

Congratulations to everyone who took part and thank you to all who offered support to the runners.
