The New York Marathon is a world renowned race, drawing more than 85,000 applicants each year and two million spectators on the day ready to cheer the runners to the finish line in Central Park - taking part in the event really is a thrill of a lifetime. Although CLDF does not have its own ‘golden bond’ places, you can apply for your own place by visiting www.nycmarathon.org. Lots of general information about the marathon is also available on this website. Alternatively, a number of travel companies and organisations have special combined trip and marathon packages available.
