An introduction to services
In this section you will find information about a range of CLDF services and how CLDF and the Families and Young Persons teams may be able to assist you and your relatives and friends - now or in the future.
CLDF is here to help by:
- Responding immediately to a family’s first needs – information, advice and support at the end of the phone, email or in person
- Helping families to adjust to life with liver disease – one to one service, further information, advice, help and support
- Giving the opportunity to meet other families living with liver disease – Regional family evenings, family days, national conference, on-line forum and facebook
- Informing relatives and friends and providing advice and support at the end of the phone, email or in person
- Training healthcare professionals – to spot the early signs and learn how to support families, provide specialist packs, information and study days
- Providing a young person’s programme – a dedicated website, one to one service, information, help, advice and places to meet and share with other young people
- Running a wide-ranging research programme – to find out why children get liver disease, seek effective treatments and ultimately, find cures.
