Memorial Service 2004

The 2004 service, ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ was led by Reverend Paul Nash, chaplain at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The service culminated in families releasing balloons in celebration of the life of their child, with each having a special memory card attached with a message for the child written by family members.

Several local organisations supported the memorial service including South Birmingham Flower Club, Shirley Methodist Church Choir, Birmingham Children’s Hospital play specialists, the staff of St Francis Hall, and Doreen Bourne, Dorothy Boyce, Lillian Edwards and friends who provided catering.
