Finding comprehensive travel insurance protection for babies, children and young people living with a medical condition, such as liver disease, can often be difficult.

Childrens Liver Disease Foundation is therefore happy to introduce Unique, a specialist travel insurance scheme which provides comprehensive cover for those affected by pre-existing medical conditions such as childhood liver disease. 

CLDF has worked in partnership with the Unique team to ensure that the insurance is relevant to the needs of those living with liver disease and related conditions.  This includes ensuring that pricing and terms are based on the most up to date medical research available.

Unique can help ensure that families affected can get the protection they need and improve the ease in which they can buy the cover.  Unique makes the buying process as simple as possible - no medical referrals are required and policies can be bought over the telephone or online.

Cover benefits

Unique offers both single-trip or annual policies for European and Worldwide trips. Some of the key benefits include:

• A quick and easy purchase as there is no referral for medical screening.
• No confirmation of medication is required, just the number of medications taken.
• Cover for the replacement of lost or damaged medication, up to a limit of £300.
• Cancellation cover, up to £5,000.
• Cover for loss of personal luggage, up to £2,500.
• There are no age limits on our single trip policies.
• 24-hour medical emergency service.
• Cover is also available to the friends and carers of those living with the condition and supporters of the CLDF.
