Welcome to our first ever CLDF Weekender!
This is a unique event which is open to 16-24 year olds with a liver condition or transplant. It is a great opportunity to come together, connect, learn, share and have fun.
The CLDF Weekender is a chance for those who have attended our ‘Talk, Tell, Transform’ project over the past 5 years, as well as other 16-24 year olds, to meet up again, celebrate friendships and make new ones as part of our 'Talk Tell Transform Reunion'.
What's going on?
The theme for the event is ‘Our Health and Wellbeing’ and we have a packed programme! There will also be information stalls and professionals to talk with.
Friday 4th August - Evening Catch Up
Chill out, have fun, connect with old friends and meet new people.
Saturday 5th August - Power of Us
A packed programme with a variety of health and wellbeing topics.
Followed by the CLDF Weekender Party with special guest speaker Justin Grace - head sprint coach for the GB cycling team and liver transplant recipient
Sunday 6th August - What We Can Do Together
Time to reflect, share and discuss how to get involved with CLDF
Where's the Weekender held?
Our CLDF Weekender will be held at Derby University and accommodation will be available in University halls of residence, where everyone will be allocated their own room if staying with us over the weekend.
The event will be run by CLDF staff and volunteers, as well as trained nurses who will be on hand to administer medication to under 18s.
Our CLDF Weekender begins with registration on Friday 4th August at 4-6 pm and will run until 12pm on Sunday 6th August.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
