Moustache Shave for CLDF
As the current world champion for Dali moustache and current British champion for English Moustache, it’s fair to say Johnny King was proud of his facial hair.
He had been growing his moustache for just over 6 years when he made the decision to shave it off to raise money for Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
Johnny told us, “About 2 years ago I ruptured my liver in a mountain bike accident and saw people on the liver ward that had this terrible disease. It pained me seeing this and thought if it's this bad for grown adults it must be horrendous for young children. I have 3 kids myself and I don't think I could handle it if they had to go through that.
“The parents must be so strong and the kids even stronger!”
Johnny was aiming to raise £1,000 and hit his target on 20th March 2017, with the big shave taking place three days later.
Although he’s sad to see the ‘tache go as it’s such a big part of his life, he has raised a fantastic amount for CLDF and we are very grateful to Johnny for raising funds and awareness of childhood liver disease.
