To be all together at Christmas will be fantastic

Merry Christmas from all the team at CLDF.

Here's why Christmas will be extra special for one of our families this year:

Thomas was just eight days old when he was referred to hospital in March. After being flown to Birmingham Children's Hospital he was diagnosed with biliary atresia.

Then followed a difficult few months of hospital stays, travelling between Birmingham, Belfast and home in County Armagh. As well as being stressful for Thomas' parents David and Sharon, his three older siblings have had to cope with missing their little brother.

In September Thomas' family were told that a liver transplant was the only option, and a donor liver became available just two weeks later.

Thomas is now back at home and the family are excited about being together this winter and celebrating Thomas' first Christmas!

Dad David said "Only a few weeks ago Thomas' colour floated between yellow, green and brown. He used to sleep nearly all the time, now he plays with the other children, laughs and shouts. To be all together at Christmas will be fantastic."

On behalf of all our families, we'd like to thank all of you for your support throughout 2017! We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful 2018.
