For Melissa it was ‘hair today, gone tomorrow’ after she hit her fundraising target! She told us why she has braved the shave for CLDF:
I wanted to really challenge myself and going on a run or a walk wasn't enough. I love my hair, it's my comfort blanket so I thought if I can shave it all off and make a difference to somebody then my job is done. I also promised that if I hit my target I would take it down to the skin.
Part way through the shave - no going back now!
The actual head shave was so much fun because I had amazing people not only supporting me with donations before the big day but on the day of the shave I had so many friends and family around me, it was really personal and meant so much to me.

I feel so proud of myself but more because I had so much support from friends and family. I would do it over and over again if I could because it's made me feel like I can do anything and I've helped someone else at the same time.
Thank you so much to Melissa for your support in raising an incredible £1,720 for CLDF and TOGS Children’s Centre! It’s such a brave thing to do and everyone at CLDF is so grateful to you!
